Siemens is presenting Unity 3, the latest version of their diagnostic and fitting system for hearing care professionals, at the American Academy of Audiology's (AAA) “AudiologyNOW!” conference in Orlando, Florida. The system combines all of the hearing care professional’s work steps in a single, time-saving process: from computer-assisted hearing ability measurement to the individual fitting of the selected hearing aids. The light-weight, modular construction also makes it ideal for home visits.
Siemens presents the new models of their high-performing Nitro line for people with profound hearing loss at the 58th International Hearing Aid Acoustician Congress EUHA in Nuremberg. The new Nitro is available as a Behind-the-Ear (BtE) and In-the-Ear (ItE) device. The BtE version is nearly one-third smaller than its predecessor and therefore has a more discreet and comfortable fit behind the ear. The instrument is also well suited for the care of profoundly hearing impaired babies due to its slim design and security features. All of the new Nitro models contain Micon, the latest generation of Siemens' proprietary BestSound Technology. It makes additional automatic settings possible and attains a sound volume that has never been achieved before - even at the highest amplification setting.
