C-Guard
Innovative wax guard technology
Cerumen (ear-wax) build up on the C-Guard membrane might affect the sound quality of your hearing instrument. Listen for any changes. In case ear-wax has built up, it can be easily removed in a smooth back-and-forth motion with a soft cleaning tissue. No other tools are required. Every three months you should replace your C-Guard.
Good lighting is all that's needed to determine if the C-Guard needs replacing. Hold the C-Guard to a light - if light doesn't reflect off of the C-Guard, then a replacement is necessary. It's that simple.
1. Press and turn the removal side of the tool clockwise into the C-Guard until it stops.
2. Turning the tool as shown on the left will cause the membrane to puncture in the used C-Guard.
3. Gently pull the used C-Guard out of the hearing instrument.
4. Using a tool with a new C-Guard in place, push the large end with attached C-Guard into the canal opening of the hearing instrument.
5. Snap it in to place it properly.
6. Remove the tool. The hearing instrument is now ready to use and enjoy.
