Learning technology
SoundLearning™, a sophisticated learning algorithm, helps bridge the gap between initial fittings, which happen in a controlled environment, and the real world. It learns the wearer’s preferred loudness settings and adjusts settings for volume, compression, and frequency shape automatically. This minimizes the need for manual adjustments and provides a more customized fitting.
DataLearning™ technology learns the wearer’s volume preferences for each program and automatically adjusts the instruments to these preferences. It minimizes the need for volume control adjustments.
The hearing instrument is configured to remember changes made to the user's volume setting during daily use, no matter whether such changes are made directly or through Siemens remote control devices. When the user switches the instrument off (e.g., at bedtime) and then on again (e.g., the next morning), the instrument will calculate the learned volume setting in less than one millisecond. In other words, the learned volume setting is calculated by averaging all past volume changes, weighing more heavily recent changes.
Over time, DataLearning assures that overall gain always or nearly always is, at the desired level.
The Data Logging feature, also a part of DataLearning and SoundLearning, collects useful information hearing preferences like program use, microphone modes, volume control position, etc.. Based on this recorded data, the instrument can be fine-tuned according to the wearer’s requirements.
