e2e wireless™ 2.0 technology
e2e wireless™ was the first generation (and first in the industry) technology that allows synchronization of signal processing information and controls. e2e wireless 2.0 is the next generation of wireless communication which not only allows high level synchronization of signal processing information and controls at an even faster speed, but also allows hearing instruments to be connected on a wireless basis to Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as mobile phones.
In combination with modern entertainment devices, such as TV, stereos, and the like, e2e wireless 2.0 allows reception of stereo audio signals through the hearing instruments.
e2e wireless 2.0 is a short range transmission system which operates at 3.28 MHz. Transmission between the instruments is possible for distances of up to 30 cm.
Audiological research shows that binaural hearing is superior to monaural hearing in terms of sound detection, localization, speech understanding (also in the presence of background noise), and sound quality. Binaural hearing allows us to localize the direction of sounds and to concentrate on the sound information that's important while subconsciously suppressing unimportant background noises
We hear best when our brain receives as much information from both ears as possible. So when hearing loss occurs in both ears, as is usually the case, it is important to amplify both ears to preserve binaural hearing.
