To help hearing aid wearers incorporate personal technologies more easily to their lives, Siemens has introduced Tek, a wireless enhancement that enables wearers to stay seamlessly connected to mobile technologies - like cell phone, PDAs, MP3s, audio systems, TV or even PC - through their hearing instrument.

With a special design that does not fit into any of the commercial categories, such as "receiver-in-canal" or "completely-in-canal", Vibe hugs the pinna (outer ear). Thus combining several advantages: the natural shape of the ear is used to good effect, the ear canal itself stays open, and nothing collides behind the ear, such as with spectacle arms. At the same time, Vibe also allows the wearer to express his/her individuality, as it comes in 17 different quick-change housings.
