A hearing instrument becomes a part of you in more ways than one. Firstly, of course, it enables you to enjoy the beauty of sound. But, just as importantly, it should also reflect your personality and style, so that you are both physically and emotionally comfortable wearing it. That's why at Siemens we put as much care into the design of our products as we do into their technology.
On the one hand we offer products that are so minute, with tubes so thin, transparent and comfortable, that were it not for your improved hearing, you wouldn't even notice they were there. At the other end of the spectrum are the variety of colours and attractive designs that give your hearing instrument the status of a fashion accessory or a piece of jewellery.
Dependant on your hearing loss, you may decide to choose a custom instrument because of the discretion and cosmetic value that they offer. The size of the instrument will vary according to the severity of your loss and each case is individually evaluated. There may be occasions where a custom product would be unsuitable for you. For example, if you have a high frequency loss, you may experience an “occlusion effect” with a custom product. However, your acoustician is qualified to determine this and offer you the most appropriate solution. Working closely with your hearing care provider, we are confident that you will be able to find the product that is best suited to your hearing and aesthetic needs.
