Tinnitus is very common among veterans. Hearing aids can help.
Often referred to as "ringing in the ears," tinnitus is the number one disability among veterans and it affects at least one in every 10 American adults (see VA article on tinnitus). Many of Siemens newest hearing aids—Ace™, Pure®, Siemens Life™, Insio™ and Aquaris™—have a tinnitus therapy feature that may provide relief for tinnitus sufferers.
Siemens supports our armed forces and veterans.
- Siemens received the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award in September 2012. The award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their support of their employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
- Siemens supports the Joins Forces initiative that honors and supports service members and their families. Siemens pledged to reserve 10% of open positions in 2011 and actually filled 21% of positions (641 hires) with veterans and has committed to hiring another 300 veterans in 2012.
Established in 2010, the Siemens Veterans Network is comprised of more than 400 Siemens employees (veterans and non-veterans) who volunteer their time to help veterans, active military, military families, and the families of fallen soldiers.
