In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids are also known as custom hearing aids. They are individually manufactured to fit a person’s ear. They range from invisible in-the-canal (ITC) hearing aids, which fit in the ear canal, to full-shell hearing aids, which fill the outer ear.
